The Impact of Thoughts and Words on the Body

by Sinead Flanagan on May 19, 2010

When someone comes to me for a healing whether in person or by telephone – and regardless of what it is they think they want to heal – what I look for immediately is how their thoughts and words are affecting the physical body. Our thoughts and words carry unique energetic vibrations and can be incredibly damaging, powerfully healing or neutral to the body.

I can also see if their body believes what they’re saying. The body believes what the mind believes so if they’re sitting in front of me saying “Yes, of course I want to heal this cancer” but it doesn’t “run through” them, I know there’s a conflict. They may fear that healing will be too difficult, may require them to sacrifice greatly, they may think they don’t deserve it because of whatever “bad” things they’ve done… the list goes on and on. Once the conflict is identified we can do something about it.

So back to thoughts and words… What do you say to yourself constantly? Catch yourself. What are the records replaying in your mind daily? “I hate my body / job / mother-in-law / fill in the blank. I’m scared. I’m angry. I can’t.” Watch that Victim Archtype running the show. To learn more about healing the Victim, check out my book ‘From Victim to Victor’.

Dr. Masaru Emoto’s groundbreaking work on the effect of vibration and consciousness on water crystals provides the most extraordinary evidence. A visionary Doctor of Alternative Medicine, Dr. Emoto explored the concept of micro cluster water in the US and Magnetic Resonance Analysis technology.

Fujiwara Dam, before offering a prayer

Initially, he studied water from a pure source in Japan. The picture revealed a beautiful crystalline form. He then did the same thing with water from a nearby polluted river. The result was a muddy, smeared pattern with very little structure. He then asked a priest from a temple to offer a prayer to the polluted water sample which transformed it into a beautiful crystalline structure. PRAYER HEALS! (More on than later).

Dr. Emoto played different kinds of music “for” his water – healing music, classical music, heavy metal music – and so forth. Classical music always reflected beautiful patterns, whereas heavy metal or rock and roll created distorted, formless, smudged images as if these types of music had destroyed the delicate equilibrium of the molecules.

Such a response reveals that water is alive – it is conscious and responds to applied force by a rearrangement of its inner crystalline properties.

You Make Me Sick. I Will Kill You.

Dr. Emoto took this research further when he decided to study the impact of human consciousness on water and its crystalline order. Repeated experiments demonstrated that human thoughts and emotions can alter the molecular structure of water. Now, for the first time, there is physical evidence that the power of our thoughts can change the world within and around us!

He found that water that had been consciously altered by the simple imprinting of a word of intent would change. Water that was imprinted by love, gratitude, and appreciation, responded by the development of intricate beauty, and water that was subjected to negative intentions became disordered and lost its magnificent patterning.

"Mother Theresa"

He continued experimenting, this time by writing words on pieces of paper and taping them to a clear glass container to see if anything happened.

He tried using positive words like “Love” and “Thank you” and every time noticed a beautiful and delicate crystalline pattern. He tried “You Make Me Sick. I Will Kill You” and each time observed distorted, frightening, muddied patterns. He even experimented with names like “Mother Teresa”  and “Hitler” and the same kind of results occurred.

"Hitler"

After much experimentation, Dr. Emoto discovered that the most powerful combination of thoughts in terms of capacity to transform was that of “Love and Gratitude.”

I see this in my practice everyday: when I ask my clients what they love or what they can feel gratitude for, everything about them transforms, including any physical disease.

Love & Gratitude

A mother’s face will light up at the thought of her boisterous toddler, a teenager will smile at the thought of their best friend, an ailing grandparent will visibly relax when their focus shifts from a frightening prognosis to their grandchildren or thriving rose garden.

We live on a planet covered by more water than landmass, and that the human body is largely composed of water. We not only have the power to restore our own health but that of everyone around us, and even the planet itself, with our every thought.

So, what are you grateful for? And what do you love? Right now, this second, change your vibration!
